Dr. Jennifer Walden: Surgeon, Leader and Philanthropist, elected to Serve on ASAPS Board of Directors

Dr. Jennifer Walden, an Austin-Based plastic surgeon, has recently been elected to serve on the executive committee of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Walden will serve as the Secretary of the executive committee. She is the first female to hold such a position.

Dr. Walden will also continue to serve in her current capacity as Commissioner of Communications for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Walden is nationally recognized for many reasons. Here are just a few.

Education

Dr. Walden is formally trained as a cosmetic surgeon. She earned her education, including a fellowship, from the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital in New York City.

The Walden Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Center

Dr. Walden is the founder of the Walden Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Center which makes use of the latest technologies in the area of cosmetic surgery to deliver top-quality care.

Memberships and Fellowships

Dr. Jennifer Walden has been a member of the Aesthetic Society since 2008. She is also a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Recognitions

Dr. Walden has been named a Texas Super Doctor; she was named one of the best beauty surgeons in America by Harper’s Bazaar Magazine.

She was also chosen for membership into the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, a prestigious and invitation-only honor.

Thought Leadership

Dr. Walden is a spokesperson and opinion leader who regularly speaks at national conferences, appears on television segments, and offers counsel to the likes of Sciton Inc., Lumenis and SmartGraft.

Philanthropy

Dr. Walden has been recognized by The Austin Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for her philanthropy.

Dr. Walden has also played a part in raising awareness of female heart disease by serving on the local Executive Leadership Team of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign.
