Adam Milstein Supports A Pro-Israeli Community

Adam Milstein first worked as a sales agent for Hager Pacific Properties and he eventually became the firm’s managing partner. He is the chairman and co-founder of the national organization Israeli-American Council. It engages Israeli Americans through the annual Yom HaAtzmaut celebrations, children’s educational communities, and young adult groups. He runs the Adam and Gila Milstein Foundation with his wife. The foundation gives high school students subsidies to go to the annual America Israel Public Affairs Committee Policy Conference.

Adam Milstein was born in Haifa. He moved to the US 37 years ago to earn an MBA at USC. He donates to charitable causes that support Israel. He recently discussed the importance of charity with the Journal. There was no Israeli philanthropy before the IAC was established. They raised millions at the IAC galas 11 years later and a $2.5 million dollars at the Los Angeles gala. They inspired others in the Israeli-American community to become involved in philanthropy.

Israeli Americans are the best advocates for the State of Israel because they have experience in Israel and think like an American. Adam Milstein believes the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement one of the biggest threats to Israel. He believes that BDS is anti-Semitic and that the UN is making resolutions mainly about Israel. There are constant complaints about occupation, governmental policies, and Israel shooting people who are entering the country, but other countries are rarely mentioned.

Adam Milstein said anti-Semitism in the US is coming from the white supremacists, the radical left, and radical Muslims. New strategies need to be devised to combat this racism. Members of the Israeli-American community don’t have to go to synagogue daily. Jews can connect to their “Israeliness” through culture, dancing, food, and fellowship. IAC’s mission is to support Israel and create a more pro-Israel US community. This will make the organization stand out from those that are unsure about whether or not to criticize the state. No other country has accomplished as much as Israel in the 70 years since its independence.
